Many families today face the challenge of finding a safe and comfortable residence for the elder in their family. A community based residential facility may be the answer for an elder who is no longer able to live alone, yet does not require skilled medical care. Home Suite Home staff provide the assistance that many of today’s seniors need to support their independence.

1. Will I have my own room?

Yes. Of our eleven rooms, nine are single occupancy. Most include a private half-bath, closet, and window with a view.

2. What about furnishings?

We will furnish your room unless you choose to bring your own. Personal items are encouraged as they provide comfort and familiarity.

3. What type of assistance will I receive?

We provide 24 hour monitoring, supervision, and assistance with medication management, personal hygiene, all meals, housekeeping and laundry.

4. What if I need additional assistance or services?

We will provide assistance in obtaining services not included in the monthly charges such as skilled nursing care, therapy and transportation. The cost of additional services will be the responsibility of the resident.

5. Who provides services at Home Suite Home?

The managing owner, Tracy Meinen, is a registered nurse and dietitian with emphasis in working with the elderly. Tracy and Joe provide 24 hour supervision and monitoring. Additional qualified caregivers provide assistance in all areas of care and coordinate activities and outings

6. What will my day be like?

We will work together to establish a comfortable routine. Participation in activities will be encouraged, but not required.

7. Do I need to sign a lease?

No. Each resident pays on a month to month basis. In the event of a temporary hospitalization, daily rates remain in place to reserve the room.

We will provide you with basic linens, soap, shampoo, toilet and facial tissue.

Yes. Tracy is a registered dietitian experienced in the special nutritional concerns of senior citizens. All meals are nutritionally balanced and served family style. Individual preferences are easily accommodated and residents have access to the kitchen.

Home Suite Home is a non-denominational facility that welcomes residents of all faiths. Every effort will be made to accommodate religious practices and to assist residents in attending their choice of religious services.

Friends and family are welcome to visit anytime between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm. For those wishing to dine with their loved one, meals are served at 8:00 am, noon, and 5:00 pm. Advanced notice is requested to accommodate guests. For emergency purposes, a sign out sheet is used when residents leave the premises.

Transportation to medical appointments may be provided by Home Suite Home to medical clinics in Chippewa Falls. Charges average $20.00/trip to cover transportation costs and staff time needed to accompany residents. Family is always welcome to transport after disclosure of health issues to be discussed.

Home Suite Home, LLC, an 13 bed class CNA, Community Based Residential Facility providing assisted living to the elderly, is the end result of our crusade to improve the quality of life for senior citizens of the Chippewa area.

In my previous experience as a service coordinator for the Department of Aging, I assisted the elderly in utilizing community services to remain in their own homes. I have also provided clinical dietetic services to nursing homes. What became obvious was the fact that some elderly residents living at home needed more assistance and some living in nursing homes needed less. As a result, the home was designed to allow residents the appropriate personal care and the most independence.

While the location is rural and appeals to many, we are only minutes from Chippewa Falls. For an affordable price per month residents enjoy a peaceful, country atmosphere with others who enjoy the same.
